The dvd is great, but could have been longer. My favorite cd by Slipknot will always will be Iowa witch i have three copies of.
Now about a year later I had to get over it, and realize that bands after awhile just mature there sound. At first when All Hope Is Gone came out I really couldn't even listen to it.
All Hope Is Gone is different from all of there other cd's but in a good way. That's all Slipknot is going to do what they want to do, and if no one likes it they don't care.
All they are doing is staying true on what they want to do not what people want them to do that's what i like about them they stay true to themselves and no one else. I have to say All Hope Is Gone is a great cd all in all.

These guys are amazing and even better live. It might be a new direction for the band and I hope they keep the heavy thrash that they have always had, but I still enjoyed this album. I was so impressed I went to my first Slipknot Concert this past May and was blown away even more. I was amazed. Before this album I was only a mild fan of Slipknot. It is about a half hour of just random behind the scenes stuff that looks like it was shot by different band members, but I always have to buy the special edition. I find myself enjoying those slower songs as much as Psychosocail. Yes a good few of these songs are slower and not as heavy as one would expect but they show off Cory Taylor's range with his voice and after listening two or three times.
and for those like I was who only liked one or two songs before. Let me say that I love all of their albums so I recommend to just buy them all if you haven't already. A friend of mine bought me this and said I had to listen to all of it. To every slipknot fan, I say buy it and give it at least 2 listens before you reserve judgment. After the concert I had to buy all the other albums. This one stood out though. This is worth the purchase, and if it doesn't make you a fan check your pulse.However, just to make you aware before you buy, the DVD is nothing special. So if you can live without it, I would just buy the album.
In short this game LITERALLY killed my dog.When I put it in the CD player, it exploded into flames turning my dog into a smoldering corpse.DO NOT GET THIS GAME IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG (or cat)
All Hope is Gone if you want to hear an album released today that is worth listening to. Now their masks are off, and it is not much different than when Kiss took of the make-up, all you are thinking is "Put it back on. Slipknot have been ruining radio stations for years and years and this is just another source of junk.I actually liked them when they first came out for a minute, but it was just because their kit drummer was good. I liked his licks, but I am tired of this Nu-Metal/Aggro-Rock lack-of-talent performers that rely on gimmicky crap like numbers instead of names and stupid masks to become famous. NOW."I might be a hater, but I am a college graduate in music theory and fundamentals, a past metal-head, an ex-drum tech/lights and pyros for a popular metal band, and all I can see is this is junk.Do not buy. This is not as bad as that horrible Korn unplugged album, but almost.
i honestly think this vinyl makes a great addition to any Slipknot collection, and goes great on the wall in a black frame
